A series of hand-made silkscreen prints. Each print is unique.

The UVF Ambulance motif refers to the UVF Ambulance brigade which the Ulster Volunteer Force established in 1912. The design reflects the vernacular graphic wall - mural art of (British) Loyalist paramilitary groups such as the UVF through the 1970's and 80's (and to present day). I'm intrigued as to why they didn't have an ambulance section in the 1970's and 80's (during the height of the Troubles when they frequently perpetrated extreme and public violence upon society) and if they had have had - what might their contemporary logo look like? In a contextual sense this design has also been influenced that era's counter-cultural record designs as well as the vernacular home-spun design of paramilitary iconography.
